Maldon lies on the River Blackwater in Essex, reached via the A414 from Chelmsford or the A12. This historic market town commands the point where the river opens into a broad estuary, surrounded by salt marshes and sailing waters. The area offers excellent EV charging with over 60 fast chargers nearby. Every September, the town hosts the famously muddy Maldon Mud Race across the exposed riverbed.
