Ludgate Hill

Ludgate Hill runs through the City of London from St Paul's Cathedral down towards the Thames, following an ancient Roman route. Access via the A4 through Fleet Street or the A40 from Holborn, with good connections to the A201 and A1. The street climbs gently from the river valley, dominated by Wren's cathedral above, and takes its name from the medieval Lud Gate that once marked the western entrance to Roman Londinium.
