Lower Shiplake is a Thames Valley village three kilometres from Henley-on-Thames, reached via the A4155 from Reading or Oxford. The A4074 provides the main connection north to Oxford or south through the Chilterns to Reading, whilst the M40 at Junction 4 offers access for longer journeys. EV drivers will find over 250 public fast chargers nearby, particularly around Henley and Reading. The village's Victorian railway station on the Henley branch retains its original 1857 ornate barge boards.
