Lower Pennington lies on the New Forest's southern fringe, three kilometres from Lymington's market town and ferry terminal. The A337 provides the main access route from the M27 via Southampton, whilst the B3054 serves local Forest communities. Over 90 EV charging points nearby support both residents and Isle of Wight ferry traffic. The village overlooks Lymington River's tidal marshes, where little egrets frequently feed on the exposed mudflats.
