Lower Diabaig

Scotland
Lower Diabaig perches on Loch Torridon's shore, reached via the winding A896 through spectacular Highland scenery. Most visitors arrive from Kinlochewe (29km) or as part of longer tours from Shieldaig (25km). The final approach uses single-track roads with passing places. Ancient Torridonian sandstone peaks tower behind this tiny settlement, whilst the sea loch opens toward Skye. At low tide, you can walk across to small islands that emerge from the water.
