Low Pittington

Low Pittington is a former mining village in County Durham, 8km southeast of Durham city. Take the A690 from Durham towards Sunderland, then follow local roads south near Carrville. The A1(M) lies 10km west for longer journeys. Over 250 EV charging points serve the Durham area. The old Pithead Baths building still stands, now housing Elemore Auto Parts but preserving a piece of the village's coal mining heritage.
