Lochiel

Lochiel is a small Mpumalanga highveld town near the Eswatini border, surrounded by coal mining and forestry country rather than tourist spots. You'll usually get there via the N17 towards Oshoek, then cutting onto the R38, which also links up nearby dorpies like Hartebeeskop and Eerstehoek for locals popping through daily. Longer hauls come in from places like Secunda and Cato Ridge, showing it's mostly out-of-towners passing by. Fill up before you go, chargers are thin on the ground here, and know that Lochiel sits just down the road from the Bulembu border crossing into Eswatini.
