Lochhead perches on the Cowal Peninsula where the Kyles of Bute create one of Scotland's most striking waterways. Reach it via the A8003 from Dunoon, a scenic 25-kilometre coastal drive, or from Glasgow via the A83 and A815 (about two hours total). The village sits just a kilometre from Colintraive's ferry terminal, where a five-minute crossing connects to the Isle of Bute.
