Llangower

Llangower lies on Bala Lake's southern shore in Snowdonia National Park, reached via the A494 through Bala. The village sits amongst gentle hills typical of central Wales, with the B4403 branching south toward the Aran Mountains. Long-distance visitors usually approach via the A470 from Cardiff or A5 from England, connecting through Bala. The 13th-century St Cadfan's church houses a remarkable medieval rood screen with carved woodwork that survived the Reformation.
