Livingston is a planned new town in West Lothian, about 25km west of Edinburgh via the M8 motorway. Junction 3 provides direct access from the M8, whilst the A71 offers alternative routes through West Lothian. The town serves as a retail and residential hub between Scotland's two largest cities, with Edinburgh Airport just 15km away. The Centre shopping complex remains one of Scotland's largest retail destinations, housed in a distinctive 1970s brutalist concrete structure.
