Little Falls, NY

Little Falls straddles the Mohawk River in central New York, about 80 miles northwest of Albany. Take I-90 to Exit 29A, then Route 5S into town, or use Exit 30 near Herkimer for western approaches. The city sits in a dramatic river gorge that creates its namesake rapids. Lock 17 of the Erie Canal still operates here, lifting boats over 40 feet in a single chamber.
