The B892 provides direct access from Benbecula Airport, whilst the main road connects north to Lochmaddy and south to Lochboisdale ferry terminals. The settlement commands views across the Sound of Barra, where Barra Head lighthouse stands as Britain's second-tallest lighthouse tower.
