Liddington perches on Wiltshire's chalk downs just south of Swindon, accessible via the A419 from M4 junction 15. The B4192 runs through the village, connecting downland communities along the ancient Ridgeway path. The 17th-century Village Inn retains its original thatched roof from the days when drovers used the Ridgeway to move cattle to market.
