Levaneap is a small coastal settlement on Shetland's eastern shore, clustered with neighbouring villages like Vidlin and Gillsbreck. Reach it via the A970 north from Lerwick, then the A968 - about 45 minutes from the main town. The community overlooks the Sound of Whalsay, where the regular inter-island ferry provides a constant reminder of Shetland's scattered geography.
