Lettermullen (Leitir Mealláin)

Lettermullen sits on Connemara's coast, connected by causeway and feeling properly remote despite being just an hour from Galway city. Take the N59 west then follow the R336 through Spiddal and Carraroe, finishing on narrow roads through Irish-speaking villages along the Wild Atlantic Way. You'll find a handful of EV chargers around Carraroe for electric cars, and the nearest airports are tiny strips on the Aran Islands for scenic flights.
