Lettermore sits on a peninsula along Galway Bay's northern shore, reached by the R336 coastal road about 40 kilometers west of Galway city. The drive takes roughly 45 minutes through Spiddal and Inverin, with grand views of the Aran Islands across the water. This Irish-speaking community connects to the mainland by causeways and bridges, making it a handy stop on the Connemara circuit.
