Letterfrack is a small village on the N59 in the heart of Connemara, sitting between the Atlantic to the north and the Twelve Bens mountains to the south. It's about 80 kilometers from Galway city and just 15 kilometers from Clifden, making it easily accessible along Connemara's main touring route. The village serves as the gateway to Connemara National Park, with the visitor center and main entrance right there. The park covers over 2,000 hectares of mountains, bogs, and grasslands, including several peaks of the Twelve Bens that tower over the area.
