Lehr is a tiny farming town of 66 people in south-central North Dakota, about 70 miles southeast of Bismarck via US 83 and Highway 13. The area was settled by German-Russian immigrants in the early 1900s, and the community celebrates this heritage with an annual German Fest featuring traditional polka music and authentic foods like kuchen.
