Leazes is a former mining village in County Durham, positioned between Consett and Gateshead along the A692. Most visitors arrive via the A1(M) at Junction 67, then follow the A694 and local roads through Burnopfield. The village retains its characteristic stone terraced houses from its coal mining heritage, with neat front gardens replacing the industrial grime of decades past.
