Laminess

Laminess is a small settlement on Sanday in the northern Orkneys, reached by ferry from Kirkwall on the Mainland. The island's single-track roads connect scattered communities, with most local journeys under 10km. Sanday Airport offers limited inter-island flights. The settlement sits near Start Point, where remarkable sand dunes extend into the North Sea forming one of Orkney's most distinctive coastal features.
