Knockmanoul is a small Fermanagh settlement eight kilometres from Enniskillen via the A4, which continues northeast to connect with the M1 system. The A32 through Ballinamallard offers an alternative route toward the border counties. About 30 fast EV charging points serve the wider area, mostly in Enniskillen. The village name derives from "Cnoc Maol" meaning "bare hill," after the rounded elevation at its centre.
