Knitsley is a County Durham village 3km from Consett, easily reached via the A692 from Newcastle (30 minutes) or the A68 corridor. The area has over 150 EV charging points nearby. The village sits in rolling Pennine foothills with the preserved headframe of Knitsley Colliery, which closed in 1968 after employing 400 miners.
