Kirtomy

Scotland

Scotland

Kirtomy is a small Highland settlement on Scotland's remote north coast, overlooking Torrisdale Bay between Tongue and Bettyhill. The A99 coastal road connects it eastward to Thurso (40km), whilst the main approach from the south follows the A836 through Tongue. Most visitors drive up from Inverness, roughly 100 kilometres through spectacular Highland scenery. The village sits directly beside Torrisdale Beach, a sweeping two-mile stretch of golden sand that ranks amongst Scotland's finest unspoilt shores.
