Kirbister, Orkney Islands

Kirbister is a small settlement on Orkney's Mainland, about 5km northeast of Stromness along minor roads branching from the A965. Most visitors use it as a quiet base for exploring the western peninsula's archaeological sites and dramatic Atlantic coastline. The village sits just inland from spectacular cliff-top scenery, positioned to offer shelter from ocean storms whilst maintaining easy coastal access.
