Kinvara is a fishing village on Galway Bay's southeastern shore, about 25 kilometers south of Galway city via the N67 coastal road. The drive from Dublin follows the M6 west to Galway, then the R458 and N67 south through Burren country. The N67 winds along the bay shore with views across to the Aran Islands, connecting to Ballyvaughan and County Clare. Electric vehicle drivers will find charging stations in nearby Galway city. The village centers around its small harbor where traditional Galway hookers with their dark red sails still moor, especially during the annual Crinniu na mBad festival each August.
