Kinnell is a small Angus village on the A92 between Arbroath and Montrose, set amongst fertile farmland overlooking the Lunan Valley. The A92 coastal route and quieter B9127 provide main access, with the A90 dual carriageway 15km west for longer journeys to Dundee or Aberdeen. The village's Gaelic name means "generous head," reflecting its historic role as a welcoming stop for travellers crossing the coastal moors.
