Kincasslagh (Cionn Caslach)

Kincasslagh is a small fishing village on Donegal's Atlantic coast that's gained fame as Daniel O'Donnell's hometown, with his statue standing proud in the village centre. The village overlooks Gweedore Bay with the Derryveagh Mountains rising behind, and it's surprisingly accessible with Donegal Airport just 15 kilometres away. From Dublin, it's a four-hour drive via the N4 to Sligo, then N15 north and R257 coastal route. From Belfast, take the A4/N15 through Omagh and Letterkenny, then R250 southwest for about three hours. The area has decent EV charging options, though you'll want to plan your stops given the remote location.
