Kiltartan
Ireland
Ireland
Kiltartan is a quiet rural spot in County Galway, about 25 kilometers southeast of Galway city via the N18 and local roads through Ardrahan. It's handy for those traveling between Cork and Galway or taking a detour from the M6. The village sits among traditional farmland with stone walls and grazing cattle, offering glimpses of Galway Bay on clear days. Electric vehicle drivers should plan charging stops in nearby Gort or back toward Galway. Kiltartan's main claim to fame is being the childhood home of Lady Augusta Gregory, co-founder of Dublin's Abbey Theatre, and her restored cottage still stands today.
