Kilmichael lies in the Scottish Highlands, just a kilometre from Drumnadrochit in prime Loch Ness territory. The A82 trunk road from Glasgow to Inverness provides the main access, with the A831 branching off toward Glen Affric. About seven public fast chargers serve the area for electric vehicles. The village offers excellent views over the northern end of Loch Ness, where Nessie supposedly lurks in the depths.
