Kilmacow sits along the River Nore in County Kilkenny, just 15 kilometers southwest of Waterford city. The town connects easily via the R448 from Waterford, a pleasant 20-minute drive through farmland, or from Dublin via the M9 and R448 in about two hours. Cork is roughly 90 minutes away via the N25. Waterford Airport is 20 kilometers southeast, while the port offers freight connections. The town's 13th-century Norman church, St. Senan's, retains its original stonework and medieval details after nearly eight centuries.
