Kidwelly

Kidwelly lies in the Gwendraeth Valley, accessible via the A484 between Carmarthen and Llanelli. The town sits where the River Gwendraeth meets tidal marshland, creating the distinctive landscape that gives it its Welsh name. Most visitors arrive along the A484 corridor from Junction 48 of the M4, with Carmarthen 20 minutes northeast and Swansea 45 minutes southeast. The area offers excellent EV charging infrastructure with over 50 fast charging points nearby. The town's crowning glory is its remarkably intact Norman castle, whose semicircular outer wall dramatically follows the natural ridge above the river.
