Kettleholm is a small Dumfries and Galloway community just off the A74(M) near Lockerbie, sitting in prime farming country between the motorway and rolling hills. Take Junction 17 from the A74(M) and follow the B7068 west for the most straightforward route. The settlement serves as a quiet base for exploring the broader region, with Ecclefechan and other historic villages nearby. The name comes from a distinctive kettle-shaped hill that's clearly visible as you approach from the main road.
