Jonesville is a small Yadkin County town of 2,860 people in North Carolina's foothills, about 45 miles northwest of Winston-Salem. US Highway 21 runs right through town and connects to I-77 near Elkin, making it the main route for visitors. The area sits in rolling farmland along the Yadkin River valley, with the Blue Ridge Mountains rising to the west. The old red brick courthouse downtown served as the county seat until 1971.
