Jewett City, CT

Jewett City is a small mill town in southeastern Connecticut, accessible via I-395 between Norwich and the Rhode Island border. Route 164 provides the main east-west connection through town. The community developed around 19th-century textile manufacturing, with historic brick mill buildings still lining the Quinebaug River. The imposing Slater Mill complex remains the town's most recognizable landmark and one of Connecticut's finest examples of preserved industrial architecture.
