Jenkinstown lies on the N78 between Kilkenny city and Ballyragget, about 10 kilometers north of Kilkenny. The main route from Dublin follows the M7 to Naas, then the N9 through Carlow before picking up the N78. It's a handy spot for commuters heading into Kilkenny city, with decent connections to Castlecomer and other local towns via the R693. The old stone bridge over the River Nore remains the town's most notable feature, and you're close to Gowran Park Golf Course if you fancy a round.
