Inchmurrin

Scotland
Inchmurrin occupies the largest island in Loch Lomond, reached by boat from the mainland shores. Drive the A82 north from Glasgow through Balloch, or take the A811 from Stirling for a quieter approach through the countryside. The island sits within the National Park boundaries, offering proper Highland scenery without the usual tourist crowds. The 19th-century Inchmurrin Hotel claims to be Scotland's most northerly island pub.
