Ynystawe
Wales
Ynystawe lies in the Swansea Valley, about 8km northeast of Swansea along the A4067. This former industrial village sits where the valley narrows towards the Brecon Beacons. The A4067 provides the main route from Swansea and continues north to Brecon, whilst the M4 lies 10km south for longer journeys. With roughly 90 public EV chargers nearby, it's well-equipped for electric vehicles. The name means "island in the Tawe," recalling when the area was surrounded by river channels before industrial development reshaped the landscape.
