Yalding

Yalding lies in Kent's Medway Valley, where the Rivers Beult and Medway converge amid traditional hop gardens and orchards. The A228 provides the main route through the valley, whilst the B2162 connects eastward to Maidstone, just 8km away. Most traffic comes from Maidstone or Tonbridge on daily commuter runs, though longer journeys typically use M20 Junction 4 then the A228. The village's medieval five-arch stone bridge, parts dating to the 14th century, remains one of Kent's finest examples of ancient river engineering still carrying modern traffic.
