White Plains is a small Kentucky farming community of about 1,000 people in Hopkins County, sitting amid rolling hills about 15 miles from Madisonville. Most visitors arrive via the Pennyrile Parkway (Exit 42 to KY Route 70 south) or US Highway 62, which runs right through town. It's a quiet residential area that still has one of Kentucky's last one-room schoolhouses preserved on Main Street.
