3About West Hoathly
West Hoathly is a Sussex village perched on high ground with views across the Weald, about 30 miles south of London and 10 miles from Gatwick. Reach it via the A22 from the M25 Junction 6, or through East Grinstead on the A264. The elevated position at 500 feet gives it a slightly cooler climate than surrounding areas. The 13th-century church houses a rare medieval priest's house, one of Sussex's oldest timber-framed buildings still in situ.
