Welney

Welney lies in the Cambridgeshire Fens along the A1101, reached via the A10 from Cambridge through Littleport or from King's Lynn on the A47. The village sits beside the Ouse Washes, where controlled winter flooding creates temporary wetlands. The Welney Wetland Centre here hosts spectacular gatherings of migrating wildfowl, including thousands of Bewick's swans that arrive each October from Arctic Russia.
