Wedowee, AL

Wedowee is the county seat of Randolph County in east-central Alabama, about 80 miles from Birmingham and 100 miles from Atlanta. Highway 431 runs north-south through town, while State Route 48 provides the main east-west connection. Most visitors reach Wedowee via Highway 431 from Interstate 20 near Heflin. The town sits near 10,000-acre Lake Wedowee and features a historic 1897 courthouse with a distinctive clock tower that's been keeping time for over 125 years.
