Upper Park

Upper Park occupies pleasant Deeside countryside about 20km west of Aberdeen along the A93. The River Dee valley creates a notably mild microclimate for this part of Scotland. Most journeys are local runs to Drumoak or Crathes, though the A93 carries considerable tourist traffic bound for Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms. Aberdeen Airport sits 25km northeast via connecting roads. The settlement lies within easy reach of Crathes Castle, renowned for its extraordinary 16th-century painted ceilings.
