Tyrrellspass
Ireland
Tyrrellspass is a handy stop along the N6 between Dublin and Galway, sitting about 100 kilometres west of the capital and 15 kilometres from Tullamore. The town makes a grand base for exploring County Westmeath, with good connections to Mullingar via the R446 and plenty of EV charging points for electric cars. Named after the Anglo-Norman Tyrrell family who controlled this medieval pass, the town still has its original stone bridge over the Yellow River carrying N6 traffic today.
Airports closest to Tyrrellspass are Dublin Airport and Kilkenny Airport.
