Thurnscoe

Thurnscoe lies just outside Barnsley in South Yorkshire's former coalfield. The A635 provides the main route into town from Barnsley centre, whilst the M1 (junctions 36-37) offers connections for longer journeys. Electric vehicle drivers will find over 150 public fast chargers in the wider area. The town stands on the site of Thurnscoe Colliery, which operated for over a century until closure in 1992.
