Taos, NM

Taos perches at 7,000 feet in northern New Mexico's mountains, about 70 miles north of Santa Fe via US 285. The high desert town mixes art galleries with outdoor recreation access. US Highway 64 runs east-west through town, connecting to major routes toward Colorado and Interstate 25.
