Tan-lan is a small Gwynedd village reached via the A487 through Porthmadog and Penrhyndeudraeth. The A55 provides the main long-distance connection from England, whilst local roads link to Garreg and Croesor within 2km. Over 20 EV charging points serve the area around nearby Porthmadog. The settlement lies close to Roman bath-house remains near Tremadoc, marking one of the northernmost Roman sites in Wales.
