Talysarn

Talysarn lies in Gwynedd's Nantlle Valley, a former slate village beneath Mynydd Mawr in Snowdonia. Reach it via the A487 from Caernarfon, then A499 and local valley roads, or A4086 from Llanberis. Popular with walkers heading for the western peaks, it's well-connected to neighbouring villages like Penygroes. The impressive Talysarn Chapel from 1864 dominates the village centre with its distinctive slate facade.
