Suurbraak is that little mission village tucked below the Langeberg, just a quick detour off the N2 near Swellendam, 23 km away, or Barrydale, 24 km. Most people pop in on a day trip through Route 62 country, though some come from as far as Somerset West or Grahamstown. There's one fast EV charger nearby for those passing through. Founded in 1812, it's one of SA's oldest mission villages, still lined with thatched cottages and known for its yellowwood furniture.
