About Smithborough

Smithborough is a handy stop along the N2 between Dublin and Derry, about 120 kilometers north of the capital. The town sits in County Monaghan's drumlin country, where small hills and valleys support local farming. Regional roads R188 and R189 connect it to nearby Glaslough and Emyvale. There's decent charging infrastructure for electric cars, with around 15 fast charging stations in the area. The town's centerpiece is a lovely stone bridge from the 1800s that still carries traffic over the Dromore River on the main street.
